Welcome to my website, My Plastic Navy. On this site you will see projects both completed and in progress.
My name is Les Foran. I have been building models for about 45 years, ships, cars, trains, and aircraft. As you can see, it has been a lifelong hobby for me.
Right now, my modelling interests lie in ships, aircraft (classic airliners) and N scale trains.
The first model ship I built was the Revell USS Forrestal, back in the 1950's. The modernized Forrestal and her sister, Saratoga, are represented in my collection.
As this website is developed, I hope to take you along in the construction of several ships. You will first see the contents of the kits, then a selection of photos of stages of construction and painting. I plan to share modelling ideas here, and perhaps you can, too.
